What does 'live' chocolate mean? TOP
Some of cacao we use is raw: the beans we use in our live items are unroasted and during the manufacturing process we ensure that the chocolate never gets above 114 degrees F. This maximizes the retention of valuable anti-oxidants which are found in the cacao plant. Is your chocolate vegan? TOP Many of our products are vegan! Please check our ingredient lists.
Is your chocolate certified organic? TOP We use organic ingredients and are in the process of becoming certified.
Are your products milk free? And gluten? What about soy? TOP
All of our chocolate bars are milk, gluten, and soy free. Some of our confections are as well. Please check the ingredients if you have allergies! Does your chocolate contain nuts? TOP While we offer many varieties of chocolate without nuts, we cannot at this time guarantee that our products are completely nut-free. If you have a nut allergy we strongly recommend that you do not consume our products.
What are nibs? TOP Nibs are cacao beans that have been removed from their hulls and broken into small pieces. They're similar in texture to roasted coffee beans, but better!
How should chocolate be stored? TOP Chocolate should be stored in a cool (60 - 70 degrees F) and dry place. If room temperature is too warm, chocolate may be kept in the refrigerator but it should be placed in an airtight container, as it can easily absorb strong smells and moisture.
Will you do custom orders? TOP Absolutely! Don't see a gift box that fits your tase? We can build one to your specifications. Want favors for a special occasion? We can do that too. Have a great idea for a new flavor? Send us an email and we'll see what we can do. What is the deal with your shipping material? TOP
We finally found a use for our junk mail! In the interest being green and saving green, we've decided to reuse (whenever possible) materials for shipping. That means no styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap! |
